August 27th
After months of planning, the big trip is finally here. We spent the summer saying goodbyes and preparing our house for Airbnb. Our last meal in Switzerland was a roast prepared by our friend Laraba.
August 28th
We were up early at 3:30 AM to pack, and by 4:01 AM, we were on our way to the airport, driven by Roland. Our flight to Lisbon went smoothly, but a 5-hour layover stretched to nearly 9 hours due to delays. After switching planes, we finally took off for our 9-hour flight to Chicago!
