February 6th
After a tasty hopper breakfast at Kingsley’s, we were on the road to the Yakaduru safari camp in the buffer zone of Yala National Park:
Not long after arriving at the Yakaduru safari camp and having lunch, we headed out for a moon drive around the Yala National Park buffer zone.
We saw an incredible variety of animals and visited a fishing village — truly a breathtaking experience.
February 7th
We had an early start for a full-day safari within Block One of the Yala National Park, where we witnessed so many of Yala’s natural wonders.
In the evening, we enjoyed a fantastic BBQ dinner, followed by traditional Sri Lankan dances—a little glimpse of what we’ll get to experience during the Perahera!
